Wings Of The Night

Jay was slowly walking home having finished with his last client when he saw a car slow down and start to go slowly besides him. Jay was a little nervous but he keep his head down low hopeing the car would soon leave.

Everyone in New York City had learned to fear the name of Wade Barett in the last few years. He had moved to America to further his fathers business, to make it a force to be reckoned with. And indeed he had, by murdering heads of different mafia fans in the most inhumane of matters. No one walked the street unless Wade Barett told them to, people didn't run for governor or senate unless Wade Barett financed their campaign.

Tonight was a night of leisure for Wade. He was going to go to one of his clubs for a few high class drinks and laughs. That's when he saw the young man walking at road side. A young man who he had never been told about. He had his limo driver slow down next to the man and smiled, his voice thick with his British accent. "Who are you, love?"

Jay swallowed softly and answered. "J-Jay Reso sir." He looked at Wade. His pimp had always told him if he ran into Wade or any of the mob bosses of the city he was to be respectful.

"Reso," Wade's brain scoured for any hint of the name Reso that he might have been told before. He was supposed to know who all worked this city. Clearly the young man had no idea of who he was. And he had no idea who the young man was. "Which family do you work for Reso?"

"Grel sir." Jay answered softly. He pulled his jacket tighter around himself, the night air was chilling.

It figured, the man ran one of the hottest underground clubs in the city and often worked his boys out on HIS property. Wade gestured for the young man to get in the car, not wanting his voice to betray his anger.

Jay slowly did as he was told and slipped into the car. Jay swallowed softly, wondering what Wade wanted.

Wade narrowed his eyes at the man, "Did your boss tell you about me, love? If not, let me give you the run down. No one does anything in this town without telling me first. And if they do? There are major consequences for them."

Jay bit his lip softly, a nervous habit he had. "W-What are you going to do?" He asked softly, he voice barely coming out.

"From now on, you work for me," Wade shrugged, grabbing a bottle of wine and popping the cork. "Hand me two glasses so we can discuss you're new working conditions."

Jay nodded slowly before doing as he was told and handing two of the glasses to Wade. He wondered if working for Wade was going to be better or worse then working for Grel.

Wade poured two glasses of Dom Perignon before handing one to Jay. "Your curfew for the streets is 6 in the morning. You will not do anything that angers or saddens a client. There will be no kissing. You will recieve half of the money you make, above 200 dollars."

Jay took the glass Wade handed him. Jay nodded as he listened to the rules. They weren't as bad as Grel's and he'd at least get to keep a little of the money if he did good.

Wade took a sip of the wine, "Now, as for punishments, you will not be beaten. I'll send you back to Grel."

Jay swallowed hard and nodded. He didn't want to get sent back to Grel, Grel had taking a lust for him which meant he often called for Jay when he wanted fun and he was always crual.

Wade smirked, leaning back in his seat, "Any chances?"

Jay shook his head and answered, "No sir."

Wade smiled, "Good. We'll get you fitted for a tux and you will join me as my date for the evening. Understood?"

"Yes sir." Jay answered again, feeling nervous.

Wade smiled, "Sit up straight, it's better for your body love."

Jay nodded and sat up straighter.

Wade smiled, "And if at any time I use a word that you don't know, ask about it."

Jay nodded, "Yes sir."

Wade smiled, "Have you ever been to The Blue Oasis? It's a piano bar in upstate New York."

Jay shook his head, "No i havn't sir." He could barely make enough to eat half the time.
