The Truth of the Matter

Seth walked out of the Police station frowning, having just paid them what little money he'd had left to avoid being arrested. As he walked down the stairs , he nodded to a cop who arrested him more than once in the past. The cop just shook his head, knowing Seth would only be there if he'd gotten caught again.

Rolling his eyes, Seth turned to head home, already feeling hungry though he didn't have much to eat in his house.
As he was walking he made sure to look at everyone he passed, not trusting any of them. He was paranoid after being busted for things more than once, by undercover cops. Seth was busy thinking about new ways to earn money, paying less attention to the people around him than usual.

Jay had just finished his last client for the day and had started to head back to Grel's place. He was tired and was going to be happy to rest. He wasn't watching where he was going to he bumped into someone.

Seth kept walking, looking out at the passing cars, wishing he had one, too tired to really want to walk. He suddenly snapped out of his absent mindedness when someone crashed into him.
"Hey! Watch it jerk!" He snapped, roughly grabbing the person's shoulder so they didn't make him fall over. It was only then that he actually looked at the person, instantly knowing what the man did for a living.

"S-Sorry..." Jay said quickly as he helped the man steady himself, "You ok?" He asked, he could tell the guy knew what he was.

As Seth stared angrily at him, his mind was running through dozens of ideas already. He was always thinking, planning his next money making idea. Seth slowly looked back up at the man when he realised he'd asked a question.

Once he'd realised what the other man was, Seth had started planning a way to use him to get money, acting innocent he smiled at the man.

"Oh, yeah...I'm ok..." Seth said sweetly, acting as if he was just some innocent person.

He looked around and noticed the street around them was pretty much deserted. 'Perfect...' He thought, 'Sometimes things are just too easy'.

Jay nodded, "Again i'm sorry about that, i should of watch where i was going." He said, he looked down at his watch to make sure he still had time to get back.

"Oh, it's fine, I wasn't paying attention either." Seth said, still acting innocent, glad that it was only the cops that knew who he was.

"I'm ok..." He added acting as if he was trying to reassure the man it was fine.

When Seth was sure there was nobody else outside on the street, he suddenly punched the man to knock him out, catching him before he fell.

"But you're not..." He added quietly as he lifted the man onto his back, carrying him as if the man was just a friend who'd passed out at the bar.

Jay had looked up to see the fist flying at him, and that was the last thing he remembered before blacking out.

Thanks to the stuff he'd been through since moving from Canada, Seth didn't even feel guilty about what he was doing. He just took the man to his house, nobody suspecting anything as he passed them, a smile on his face.

When he got inside, Seth dumped the unconscious man's body onto the couch, making sure all his doors and windows were locked, not that you could get out any of the windows. The small house wasn't exactly in the best part of town, so all the windows were barred.

Jay slowly started to come to with a softly groan. Jay forced his eyes open and looked around the strange place.

Seth was in his room, getting changed out of the clothes he'd been in since yesterday. He'd had to spend a night in the cell at the police station before they let him pay to leave.
He had no idea the person he'd just kidnapped was waking, not that he worried. There was only one door to get in and out of the small house and the lock on the inside was broken, you could only open the door with the key Seth always carried on him.

Jay got up slowly and when he didn't see anyone there he hurried over to the door and tried to open it. He bit his lip hard when he found it was locked.

Seth silently came out of his room, seeing the man trying to open the door. He walked closer, making sure he'd be right in front of the man when he turned around.

Jay turned around and jumped back with wide eyes at the man right in front of him. He remembered the man knocking him out. "W-Wh...."

Seth raised an eyebrow, a small smile on his face, amused by the man's reaction. "Problem?" He asked, acting as if he didn't know why the man was scared.

"W-Why is the door l-locked? And w-why did you bring me here?" Jay asked nervous as he stared at the man that had kidnapped him.

"Because." Seth said, sounding irritated. "The door's always been broken and I like it that way." The key to the door was hanging around his neck on a thin chain, he tucked it under his shirt before continuing.
"And you're only here because people are jerks..."

Jay was confused by that last part. "What..?" He asked nervously, seeing that the man was irritated. He need to get back to the main house before curfew. "Please can you unlock the door?"

"Why?" Seth snapped, he was rarely in a good mood, he found it hard to be happy when he was unemployed, barely able to afford food and was alone.
"You're here because I need you...f-for money." Behind Seth's anger, the look in his eyes showed he was scared.

Jay flenched back nervously when the man snapped at him. "Please just take the money i made tonight and let me go please..." Jay said softly.

Seth slowly shook his head. "I-I can't..." He said quietly, making it obvious he was scared. He'd never actually kidnapped anyone before and he was half expecting for the police to suddenly burst in at any moment.

Jay could tell the man was scared. "What are you going to do?" He asked softly.

"That...depends," Seth said slowly, trying to act normally again, like he had on the street. It wasn't working though, especially now that he'd shown he was scared.
"Depends on if your boss would actually be willing to-to pay..." Seth mentally cursed himself for letting himself stutter. Usually he never reacted like this to the things he did, even if they were illegal.

Jay bit his lip hard, he didn't know if Grel would pay. Jay was one of Grel's favorites but he was afraid Grel wouldn't pay.

Seth swore in frustration, turning away from the man he'd kidnapped. He ran a hand through his short hair as he thought of what to do.
