Nolee looked up from her spot at the window. Her face was soft, looking as if she had been crying. "What...what? The Jarrett's...how can they be...but what of..." she took a deep breath. "I'll tell Shawn. Someone needs to..." she wouldn't let Husky see her cry. She had yet to do so.

Velvet shook her head. "I do not know for sure if he is truly dead Nolee. No one has seen the assassin who was supposedly after them. I suspect if he did, in fact succeed, he will get here around the same time as Hunter to collect his money. Hunter wished for them to be brought back dead but with their heads attached so that he can be sure they are the real deal. I'm afraid we won't know anything else until Hunter arrives. At any rate the word in the street is that your brother is in charge of his own army."

Velvet got up from the table. "I must go. Someone should inform the queen though I doubt it matters if he is not speaking, but nevertheless you should try." Velvet bowed politely before hurrying off leaving the others behind.

Husky looked over at Nolee. "I hope to God the Jarrett's didn't die but if so, honestly speaking your brother is the best thing to come of it. Carter with Jarrett's army? I believe there's no one better suited for the job."

Nolee bit her lip, "He knows nothing of war. He's just a young man who got into this game because he fell in love." She stood, brushing off her skirt. "I...I think I should go tell the queen. I...I owe it to him. If Carter isn't here to make things right...I should be..." she bustled off, looking for the queen in hopes that she could get him to talk back.

Shawn sat in the library reading a book but not so much reading it. He was merely reading and rereading the same passages over and over because none of it would stick. All he could think about was Carter and wonder whether or not he finally found freedom. Eventually he knew he would have to get over him because there was just no way they could be together, but it was just so hard when his husband was a tyrant. If Hunter would only revert back to his old ways then maybe he could get over Carter.

Shawn's hand rested on his stomach. He felt sick again but he was sure it was because he wasn't eating right. In the last week he'd only managed a few pieces of dry bread, a piece of corn on the cob, and cucumbers. He never ate a full meal and often refused breakfast. He rubbed his stomach not bothering to answer his door. He could hear people shuffling about outside the library, no doubt wondering about him, but he was fine, or at least he would be in due time.

Nolee entered the library, finally noticing Shawn. She ran a hand through her hair and straightened up. She brushed her dress off and walked over, "Sh...Shawn there has been news of Lord and Lady Jarrett. They...they are dead. And my brother...my brother has taken over for them."

PostSubject: Re: Death or Dishonor   Death or Dishonor - Page 23 EmptyTue Nov 01, 2011 4:31 am

Shawn froze, eyes still glued to the book but now on the verge of spilling tears. They were tears of sadness at the news of Jeff and Karen but he feared that sadness was being overthrown by the news of Carter. Sometimes it was hard to believe to such news for there were many a times when the reports were horribly exaggerated. However, many days had passed since the assassin left, his husband and Carter so it was hard not to embrace such news.

Shawn wasn't in the mood to talk. In fact, he hadn't said a word since Carter's escape and Hunter's angry raping of his body. He just didn't have it in him to care anymore. He waved Nolee off, wiping his eyes and clutching his pained stomach. He could not get his hopes up for even if Carter was alive it hardly meant the situation had changed. They couldn't be together and there was nothing he could do.

--

The gates opened up and all the knights stood at attention as their king rode by. He stopped his horse before the castle steps hopping off of it. It was good to be home and what was even better, half of the problem had been taken care of courtesy of Harris. Of course, he wasn't going to believe it until he saw the bodies of the Jarrett's brought before him and beheaded. With a smirk, he headed inside the castle in search of his wife.

--

Allen stood in the throne room staring at the empty seats of the king and queen Jarrett. This was bad, especially now that war had already been officially declared. Carter had no experience aside from winning some king's tournament which meant Allan would have to do a lot of the planning himself. He's take what info Carter had and form the best plans to fit the war. He just hoped Carter hadn't miscalculated. Hunter was a beast and war was something he never lost. Of course, it wasn't too late to call a truce. He'd give up his land and in return they'd all be spared. Allan couldn't help but wonder if this would be the right thing to do since so many lives were at stake.

"Carter, what are you fighting for? Is it really worth fighting this war because I'm half of mind to just let Hunter win."

Nolee nodded and bowed polietly, not wanting to make Shawn angry. She took a deep breath and wiped at her eyes. She didn't want Shawn or Husky to see her cry so she headed off to her room and laid on the bed, face buried in the pillow.

Carter took a deep breath and frowned at Allen, "What are we fighting for? We're fighting to protect the people who are good, kind people. They don't deserve Hunter's rule. They deserve someone who is in this for them."

Hunter asked the guards about his wife and they pointed him to the library. With a smirk he headed straight there, pushing the door open without bothering to knock. He didn't care if he was disturbing his wife. He'd been gone for weeks and he craved the comfort of his wife's presence...among other things. "Honey, I'm home."

Shawn looked up from his book, but his face showed no sign of welcome. In fact, he had to fight to keep it blank because right now, all he felt was major disgust.

"Aww your highness," Hunter mocked."Don't look so happy to see me. It doesn't become you at all." Hunter snatched the book out of Shawn's hand tossing it to the side. "I have some news you might be interested in." He took his wife's hands, pulling him to his feet. He slipped an arm around Shawn's waist pressing their bodies flush while his other hand combed through his silky hair. "I'm afraid the Jarrett's are dead, but of course, we won't know for sure until Harris beheads them before me, which he should be arriving soon if he's not dead. I'll have you sit and watch too. It'll do you good to see first hand what's going to happen to Carter Lacroix by the time this war starts...provided he isn't already dead," he chuckled.

Shawn looked down, his heart wrenching at the sound of Carter's name. Oh how he missed that man and would not smile no more until he was in his arms again.

Hunter dropped his hand, rubbing his wife's ass. "You're glowing," he noted. "It's unsettling yet it becomes you." Hunter pressed a chaste kiss to his wife's neck, all the while slipping a hand in his pants running a finger up and down his ass probing him. "Its been weeks love so surely you can forgive me for what I'm about to do." He quickly spun his wife around, bending him over the couch. He clutched his hips and with very little warning, he thrust in hard ignoring his wife's cries as he took him.

---

"I understand that Carter," Allan said quietly, "but on the other hand, Hunter would let these people live. Sure we'd have to serve him but isn't that not better than seeing these people die? Do you honestly think we have a chance? Where is the honor in fighting a battle we cannot win?"

"The honor in fighting a battle we cannot win?" asked Carter, "The odds may be against us but surely we have a chance to win. Our men and women are strong. Christopher said he would allow his troops to fight with us. The men and women of the village that I once lived in will surely fight for us. And my sister will lead the few inside the castle who will help us."

Allen was still unconvinced of anything right now but he sighed, nodding his head. "I'll get the captains up at the crack of dawn. Tomorrow morning you'll need to speak with them; gain their honor and trust. We'll start making plans and I'll send a messenger to Chris. If we're really going to do this we must get started right away for every precious second is time lost and wasted." He bowed taking his leave leaving Carter alone to his thoughts.

---

Shawn laid in bed next to Hunter, clutching his stomach. He felt pretty bad and it didn't help that he was forced to endure two rounds of sex back to back. His body was sore and Hunter just didn't seem to get that he felt bad. He somehow managed to slip out of bed and hurried to the kitchen. He grabbed some ale and sipped on it. That seemed to help his stomach. He had a bad feeling about this upcoming war which was probably contributing to his pains. He was stressed and worried not to mention he had no idea what was going on with Carter. If something were to happen to him he'd probably end his life. Being Queen meant absolutely nothing to him anymore and while he loved the people, he would rather die than spend a lifetime with the king knowing his one true love was dead.

He finished off his ale then slipped back into his room in bed. He curled up next to Hunter dreaming of Carter and hoping the next morning would bring with it hope for a better future.

Carter nodded, heading into the room that he had gotten since Jeff and Karen's death. The truth was that he was actually scared. He didn't know how to lead a war, he didn't know how to talk to captains about what they were supposed to do. He had played war as a child with Mike and Evan and Kofi but this was no game. If he didn't win, he knew there were people who would be hurt. His mind only thought of Shawn but he knew there were others. Just not to the extent of his lover. A silent prayer befell his lips as he kneeled at his bedside after changing. God...just protect Shawn...

Death or Dishonor - Page 23 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Death or Dishonor   Death or Dishonor - Page 23 EmptySun Jan 01, 2012 3:28 pm

When Shawn got up the next morning, Hunter wasn't in bed with him. Not that he was complaining, but he still felt ill. As soon as he rolled out of bed, he raced to the bathroom puking.

"My-my queen!" By now Maryse was making her way into the room just in time to see the queen race to the restroom. "My queen are you alright?"

Shawn leaned over the bin, puking once more then after a while he sat down on the floor of the restroom, leaning back against the wall. "I think...i am getting sick. I have not been well for days."

Maryse wet a towel dropping down to the floor pressing it to the queen's forehead. "Oh...oh my queen you are glowing." Maryse helped him clean up then fixed him a hot bath. She washed his hair and body good before he stood stepping out into the robe she held up for him.

"Thank you Maryse. Where is my husband?"

"He eez downstairs in ze throne room. He iz expecting visitors and wishes for you to come down as soon as possible but eef you ah not feeling well my queen zen you should not go."

"I have no choice. You know this," he mumbled as he hurried back into his room to get changed. As he suited up in some black slacks and white shirt, he realized that the shirt was fitting a little tight. He frowned, staring at himself in the mirror but Maryse's squeal made him jump.

"Oh meh God!" she squealed, jumping up and down, eyes lit up with excitement. "My--my queen--you--you--oh zis is wonderful!"

"Maryse, my dear are you alright?" He decided that maybe his attendant needed some time off for she was acting rather strangely. "I have worn this shirt many times. I cannot believe I have been eating a lot. Hunter's going to kill me. His queen isn't allowed to get fat," he said, rolling his eyes.

Maryse just frowned. "Well he will just have to get used to it for you are with child. You must eat for two now."

Shawn froze on the spot slowly turning to face his attendant. "E--excuse me?" he asked quietly, unable to believe what he had heard.

Maryse smiled, walking over to him and placing her hand over his belly. "My queen, the signs are all there. You have the morning sickness, you are glowing beautifully and your tummy has a poof in it. You are with child."

Shawn felt all the color leave his skin. The one thing he did not wish to do for Hunter had come to pass. Of course he always knew that his luck would run out someday, but why now? Now was such bad timing. "I--I can't--Hunter doesn't deserve this child!" he panicked.

Maryse took the queen by his hand and sat him down on the bed. "Mr. Hunter has been trying for almost a year. Forgive me, your highness, but are you sure he ez the one?"

"Of course he's the father!" he said irritably. "I have not been with no one... Oh..God..." Shawn looked up at Maryse, terribly shaken. "Carter..." he whispered. "I--there;s no way to know for sure."

"Do not worry my queen," she bowed. "Ze king probably won't notice for your weight gain is hardly noticeable. Only a woman will know for your skin glows like your hair in ze sunlight. You just have to keep hanging in there for I have faith in Mr. Lacroix. He will come back for you and Hunter will lose you. He does not deserve a family."

"SHAWN!" Hunter bellowed. "WHAT'S TAKING YOU SO LONG!?"

Shawn jumped up and Maryse helped him finish dressing. "HE EZ COMING!" Maryse yelled. "Intolerable brute!" When they were done, Maryse patted the queen's back as she escorted him to the throne room for the morning's reports and business.

Death or Dishonor - Page 23 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Death or Dishonor   Death or Dishonor - Page 23 EmptyMon Jan 09, 2012 4:27 pm

The morning sun had been the first thing to awaken Carter that morning, the second had been Alan coming in the room to tell him that he needed to meet with his allies for breakfast and talks of war. He made sure to dress in his finest top and slacks, making sure he didn't look to much like the simple peasent boy he was. When he was confident with how he looked, he headed downstairs, ready for the planning of war. And more than likely, to head to war today.

Nolee stood near Lawrence in the corner as the king sat in the throne room. They were there in case anyone needed a drink or something to snack on while they were talking. When Nolee saw Shawn however, she smiled. She could see he was quite different, even if he hadn't changed much in face. It wasn't just his attitude either. It was almost as if it was his aura. Slowly she smiled, waving a small hello to the queen.

Death or Dishonor - Page 23 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Death or Dishonor   Death or Dishonor - Page 23 EmptyMon Jan 16, 2012 6:56 pm

When Carter got downstairs Alan greeted him respectfully with a bow. "Good Morning Mr. Lacroix. We must hurry and start planning. Some of Jeff's closest friends have arrived to talk strategy. He only had a few friends and the ones who remained neutral but would rather see King Helmsley's head on a pike were too afraid to send messengers without getting caught." Allan led Carter to a large room down some stairs that was like a basement only it was much larger with suits of armor decorating every inch of wall.

Allan pointed to all the men around the table. "From left to right that's Prince Jericho- we call him Chris, that's royal messenger Johnathan Layfield, Prince DiBiase, and I'm sure you've seen him before," he added nodding towards another man. It was Johnathan Cena, from Castle Helmsley and why he was here, Allan couldn't wait to find out.

---

Lawrence slipped his arm around Nolee watching as the queen entered the throne room. Shawn was greeted with a kiss by Hunter, but he hardly reacted to it all.

"Come my queen." Hunter helped him sit then resumed his own seat. "I must say you look as radiant as ever, if not even more. Your skin glows. I must remember to thank the Persians for their skin care products. You look stunning," Hunter smirked.

Shawn felt faint but he swallowed hard, trying to stay focused. He felt like hurling all over again, but he planned to suck it up. He just hoped the rumors of the Jarrett's death was a lie. He did not feel up to dealing with Harris or anyone else. He let is eyes wander about the room until he spotted Nolee and Lawrence. He smiled at them before the doors of the room flew open. His royal guards were coming forth which meant they had company.

Lawrence nudged Nolee. "So who do ya think's coming over this early? Ya reckon its war related?"

PostSubject: Re: Death or Dishonor   Death or Dishonor - Page 23 EmptyWed Jan 18, 2012 6:46 am

As he was escorted into the room with the other men, a smile crossed Carter's face. While he may have only four allies, he had expected a lot fewer. He shook their hands, pausing when he reached Johnathan Cena. "I did not expect to see you here and if you are here to be a spy, please leave now. You were a friend to me when I was at Castle Helmsly and I would hate to have to take the life of a dear friend."
~ ~ ~

Nolee couldn't take her eyes off of Shawn. There was something different to him and despite King Helmsly's belief that is was the skin care products that the Persians had sent him such was not the case. When she realized that Lawerence had spoken to her she turned her head and frowned, "I am unsure we want to see who it is..."

As soon as she said that, the man who she had hoped it wasn't entered the throne room. The assassin, who she knew simply as Harris, entered the room. A cold and arrogant smirk played across his lips as he bowed in front of Hunter, wearing King Jarrett's helm and the mans sword at his side. "My liege," he smirked.

Shawn wanted to just drop dead. He knew that sword and he knew that helm. But maybe they weren't dead. Maybe...

"Where are the bodies?" Shawn asked, his voice shaky and hardly commanding at all.

His husband looked over at him, smirking in amusement. "Oh honey, I didn't think you'd care to see such a thing, but you are right. I asked our good man here to bring me bodies. No bodies, no monetary prize."

Shawn hoped there were no bodies. If there were no bodies that meant it was possible Harris lied and stole that stuff. Shawn clinched his stomach for a moment. He hurt, but he would have to deal with it for now.

---

Lawrence scowled. "I do not like that man," he hissed. "I've heard of him. Master thief and assassin. Well, royals and nobles alike usually hire him if they are into shady business. You be careful around him if I'm ever busy. Its my turn to clean the stables all week and if that menace is allowed to stay in the castle..." Lawrence shook his head. "There's a mean spirit about that man."

Harris rolled his eyes, "I'm hurt, my lieges, that you wouldn't believe that I killed them." He gestured for the guards to bring in the bodies, Karen's face still twisted into the final scream that she had produced before he had ran her through with his sword.

"There it is," Harris smirked, "the bodies of King and Queen Jarrett. Now...I believe I'm owed some gold...and a night with an angel..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nolee frowned, "There's also something familiar about him Lawerence...I don't know what it is and I don't know where to place it..." she shook her head, paling as she saw the bodies of the Jarrett's. "Wh...what is this? How could he just..."
As soon as Shawn saw the bodies, he looked away, tears threatening to spill over. After a while he could no longer hold it in and silent tears streamed down his face. Jeff Jarrett was one of his best friends and while he didn't always get along with Karen, she was fierce woman who never held her tongue. It was something he always admired about her.
Hunter smirked. "Wow. And here I thought you were all talk. I guess your reputation is as good as they say. Either that or the Jarrett's were too lax but no matter." Hunter motioned to one of the guards. "Your gold will be tied onto your horse in small bags. As for that angel..." Hunter looked over at Shawn who now glared back at him, horrified that he would even consider...
"Don't do this to me. Why not offer him an attendant of some sort but not your own wife!" Shawn glared at Harris. He just couldn't- he wouldn't allow this brute to touch him.
"A promise is a promise wifey. You didn't seem to care that Carter Lacroix was touching you all over. Harris should be no different."
Maryse did not like this one bit and she stepped forward, head bowed. "Please my king, why not let him take me instead? I am a virgin. Surely I am more appealing than ze queen?"
Shawn shot Maryse a look, shaking his head but she refused to let her queen be taken. He was pregnant and did not need the stress. Surely Harris wouldn't want the queen.
--
Lawrence looked over at Nolee with wide eyes. "This man is- can you believe the king? For he would promise his own wife- how cruel!" Lawrence was scowling with disgust. This was awful and while he cared for Maryse, he would rather it be her than his Nolee or the queen. The queen had a hard life, much like he and Nolee sometimes and he did not deserve this. As Lawrence stared at Harris some more, he couldn't help but notice a few things. "You know my love, doesn't he remind you of Carter? Ya know, in the way he carries himself minus the smug smirk of course."
---
John bowed. "Carter, please do not be so quick to judge me. Hunter does not know I'm here. I simply came on my own. I want to help you and I cannot take no for an answer. If I go back, I will be beheaded for treason and you know it."
Allan looked down. The man had a point so what would Carter do?
Harris' eyes lit up as Maryse stepped forward. He looked her over, licking his lips as his eyes darted from Shawn to Maryse. He smirked at Hunter and nodded, "I don't need your wife now, my king. See where are you have a soiled dove who spreads his legs for anything he finds attractive, I will be having myself a virgin tonight." he wrapped a possessive arm around Maryse, "Who knows miss, you may learn that I am not as cruel as you think I am..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nolee looked away, shamed that Lawerence had realized it. Because in the last few minutes, looking at the man, she had realized who he was. It was in his mannerisms, the way he talked, and his eyes. Those eyes were the spitting image of her brothers, "There is a reason he reminds us of Carter..." she wiped the tears from her eyes, "He's my father..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Carter nodded, shaking John's hand, "It is because of Maryse, and surely you, that I am alive today. You are a good friend and I am glad that you will work with me against that brute."
Death or Dishonor - Page 23 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Death or Dishonor   Death or Dishonor - Page 23 EmptyTue Jan 31, 2012 4:59 pm
It took Shawn a moment to get used to the idea of his attendant being violated by such a horrible man. He did not want this for her at all, but on the other hand, he himself did not wish to be with such a man who had no respect for him whatsoever not to mention he didn't want said man feeling on his body that was with child for fear of him tainting his son or daughter. "I don't spread my legs nearly as often as my husband, but you are too kind Harris. Even though you were hired by my husband don't forget your place. I may not be as cruel as the king, but if you ever speak of me in such a way again, I will have you gutted and your head severed before me for my own satisfaction. Do I make myself clear you dirty old man?"
Maryse smiled on the inside. Rarely did her queen use her title in such a way and at that very moment Maryse was proud of him. Oh how she would love to see Harris die a brutal death for speaking such ill of her queen, but no matter. The joke would be on him later for Maryse wasn't a virgin. Everyone, including Lawrence and the others knew she and John were together. He would be most upset, but John also knew that Maryse would do anything to protect the queen and her best friend. Shawn took her in off the streets and kept her from having to sell her body as a child. For this very reason Maryse owed it to the queen.
Hunter looked over at his queen smirking. Seeing his wife get angry was always a highlight and if his queen wished for Harris to die, then so be it. Oh sure he would let Harris fuck the queen or Maryse, but at the end of the day, Harris was of no use to him anymore. "Well, well Harris. I suggest you behave yourself for my wife means more to me than you cashing in on your reward."
---
Lawrence blinked because at first he couldn't believe what he had heard. "Are- are you sure Nolee? I mean, that infidel cannot be your father. You are far too kind! Your brother is far too noble. I...he may have slept with our queen, but I am most positive it was out of love and possibly an accident."
Lawrence turned his attention back to the scene before them. Maryse...a virgin? He smiled big knowing that Harris was a fool. He should have taken the queen for Maryse was being sexed almost every night by John.
"What will you do Nolee?"
---
John nodded. "Yes. I came as quickly as I could. As soon as I saw Harris riding through the night, I knew it was time to go. The queen is probably going to be handed over to him for a night. My girlfriend Maryse was in a right fit about this so I had to do something. She told me Harris was cruel to him when they met weeks ago so I'll be damned if I let my girlfriend or the queen suffer much more."
Allan took his seat. "Then what should we do John? Carter's fight is for noble causes but Hunter's army cannot be defeated. We need a plan."
John took his seat as well. "We need to take him by surprise. His armies are ready but he wont expect us to bring the fight to him. You need to send an two assassins in the night- one to castle Orton and the other to castle Flair. Both men have been known to be out late. They're usually accompanied by guards but Orton hangs out in the pub while Richard hangs out in brothels. I would suggest a female assassin for both men. After news of their deaths hit home, Hunter will no doubt lead his armies this way...that is unless he finds out his queen is pregnant."
Harris gave a mock bow, not respecting Shawn. "I'm sooo sorry my queen. I should have help my tongue. I'm sure you've been told that by your husband quite a few times."
He looked at Maryse and smirked before looking back at Hunter, "I should enjoy a bit of dinner before I go to bed...it will fill my belly and allow me to last longer with the beautiful lady who will lay in my bed tonight.
"He left our home when I was naught but a young babe but I know that...that he's my father. I can see it in his eyes," she softly replied. She hung her head, the last thing she wanted was anyone knowing that she and that brute were related.
"I shall do nothing. He is a brute, a monster. I do not wish for someone like that to be in my life, even if he is my father."
Carter nodded, listening to John's words, "Yes, a female assassin would be best with both men. I know a good assassin, her name Tamina. She's always been a good person and a good friend. She's also a good assassin. I shall send word for her to go to Castle Orton. As for Richard," he frowned as he thought, "she is not a trained assassin but she is a woman who has bested me several times in battle. Her name is Beth. She is a talented swordswoman."
He hesitated for a moment, blinking in surprise, "Sh...Shawn is pregnant?"
Shawn looked over at Hunter. "So what? You promised him food as well as riches and your queen, or in this case, my attendant?"
Hunter shrugged. "I did not, but what's a little food or drink?"
Shawn scowled. "How about no." Shawn snapped his fingers and two guards from the rear came up behind Harris seizing him. "I grow tired of this brute. I don't tolerate disrespect in my castle. There's going to be some changes around here in the coming months and no longer will I sit back and let things slide. Guards, take him to the dungeons where he will stay all night." Shawn looked over at Hunter waiting for him to protest but when he merely shrugged, Shawn took that as an opportunity to push his luck. "No wait! Leave him. Suppose I have Harris killed right now my king."
Hunter took a swig of his ale chuckling. "Well to be perfectly honest I was gonna have him offed anyway. Since when have I ever kept my end of the bargain?"
Shawn frowned. "Then were you not going to let him bed me?"
"Oh well yeah I was- or rather Maryse now- but after that I was going to have him slayed. He is of no use to me anymore and I don't want anyone else putting his skills to good use either." Hunter looked to his wife. "Your call my queen. Does he live to see another morning first or shall we kill him now?"
---
Lawrence stared at Nolee, his heart going out to her. He could understand why she felt that way but her father was in trouble. "So do you truly wish to stand here and watch him die? Is that what Carter would do? If so then I support you Nolee. He is...a terrible man," he said wincing. He hated to feel that way about Nolee's father but how can one not?
---
Allan. "Good. We'll see to it that it's done." Allan got up. "I shall return in a few. I need to send word to the ladies immediately. Time is of the essence." Allan walked out leaving the others behind.
"Well there may be hope after all," Chris commented. "But a child... Are you certain?"
John shook his head. "It is merely speculation at this point by the servants, but Velvet is almost positive its true. My queen has gained a little weight. It looks good on him, but his eating habits are bizarre, he glows a lot and he feigns sick all the time. Maryse was to check for herself today but I had to leave before I could get a confirmation." John looked serious for a moment. "Carter, Hunter has been trying to get him pregnant for ages and it's never worked."
The room was silent for a moment until it dawned on Chris what John was saying. "Wait...you mean...Carter's...Christ Hunter will freak!"
"Which is why the war must end before the baby is born. We could end it in months time if we make no mistakes. His army outnumbers us, but if we fight each battle with precision and naught any errors, we shall become victorious."
Harris looked fierce, "wait, what? What are you doing?!" he struggled fiercely against the two guards who were holding him. He spat and cursed under his breath, growling. "You turned your back on me Helmsly! At least let me leave here with my head held high! I won't touch Maryse or your quee-"
"Please..." Nolee softly said, stepping forward. She had thought about it and finally had decided that she needed to step in on his behalf, "I understand that he is a cold and brutish man but he...he shouldn't be sentanced to death. He...he's my father..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Carter was shocked, unable to speak, "I...I just can't..pregnant...I got..." tears streamed his face and he stood up, nodding to the others. "I shall have those letters sent. Have the troops start training."

Death or Dishonor - Page 23 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Death or Dishonor   Death or Dishonor - Page 23 EmptyTue Feb 07, 2012 4:25 am

Shawn couldn't help but to look absolutely horrified. "That vile man is your father!" he asked, needing to be sure he heard correctly. He chanced a glance over at Lawrence who nodded discreetly, but kept his head down for the most part. Shawn was taken out of his momentary shock by Hunter who was chuckling something fierce.

"I- I mean... God Harris for somebody so old you sure do know how to make 'em," Hunter laughed. "And you..." His eyes rounded on Nolee and it took him a moment to stop laughing before he cleared his throat. "What makes you think my wife can save your father? You forget I want your brother's head on a pike and I think your father will make a good substitute for the time being." Hunter nodded. "Guards take him away and if you do not wish to join him Nolee I suggest you get back to work. No more meddling into affairs in which you have no control over."

Shawn didn't say anything. To be perfectly honest he didn't care if Harris died or not. He was a vile man willing to dishonor a small virgin just to get off rather than being a real man and opting to use his earning to fuck every woman or man in the whore house. Shawn hated that it was Nolee's father, but his longing for Carter and hatred for the man who killed his best friend was winning out over what was supposedly right and wrong.

Shawn clutched his stomach fighting back the groan that nearly escaped him. He felt hot and his stomach was churning again. If he could not get away soon he was going to barf all over the place. This did not go unnoticed by Maryse who quickly scrambled over to her queen.

"Monsieur...my lady...would you like some ale? It will settle your stomach."

Hunter looked over at his wife frowning. "Are you sick?"

Shawn waved it off. "No. Just...a small bug. With the crazy weather patterns we have been experiencing it is making me feel a little less than 100%, but I assure you I shall be fine. But Harris...what will you do with him?"

Hunter shrugged. "I might behead him. I might not. I might throw him to the lions. Who knows? I'll take a few hours to ponder it."

---

Chris let out a little groan. "You do realize this complicate matters. Not only did you sleep with a tyrant's wife but you dishonored the king by getting him pregnant. What in the blazes were you thinking boy?"

John patted Chris' back. "Calm down. None of that will help matters none. We're running on borrowed time. We need to strike soon."

"Jarrett's troops have been ready for months. We simply need the answers of neighboring kingdoms. If they do not turn down our offers then we'll be set to start strategy and plans of attack," Allan said.

Nolee took a deep breath, looking at her feet as she heard her father ordered to the dungeon. She looked at Hunter and bit her lip before speaking, "My brother has offended you but my father, as vile as he is, did exactly what you asked of him. He did everything he was told. You have no right to throw him in the dungeon, as much as he may deserve it."

She stepped forward, bravely, "I, however, have. I dishonored you by hiding as a man in your tournament. Take me in his place."

Carter nodded and took a deep breath, "Whose word are we waiting for Allan? And I'm ready to strike...."
